Featured Image – Mobile – Incorrect Responsive Image Size Called

  • Featured images displayed on mobile devices are not calling the proper image size from optimized responsive images.

    More appropriate size options are visible in the SRCSET list of responsive images, but every size of mobile device screen calls an image that is too large and then is scaled down.

    This causes our Largest Contentful Paint to be longer than it should be in Google Core Web Vitals so our Pagespeed Insights score is lower than it could be.

    We have both WP Rocket and Imagify installed, and utilize Cloudflare as our CDN.
