Featured image not showing up

  • Hello. All info seems correct however images do not appear when sharing on Facebook. I also notice the image missing on a news aggregator. All posts.

    When I debugged on FB it seems to be correct tags but no image or shadow image appears.

    I have tried all the settings on the plugin and best I get is shadow image.

    I also get an error from time to time when debugging:

    “Provided og:image URL, https://thecount.com/wp-content/uploads/Caitlyn-Jenner-Kris-Jenner-meet-in-public.jpg does not have a supported extension.”

    But sometimes there is no error and only shadow image or no image. All other info like title, etc, is appearing correctly, just no featured image.

    It makes no difference if I select other image options like grab from post, still no image.

    I have looked long and hard today to find a solution but here I am.

    hey. I was able to get an image to show sometimes when I implement your png overlay feature.

    I hope this gives you a clue as to why images not showing up using normal method.

    Same thing. I have deactivated your plugin for now but am eager for a solution as it’s great!

    Are you by any chance using EWWW or any other image optimizer?

    We had a premium support ticket by someone who was optimizing images with EWWW on upload and Facebook returned the exact same error. It seems like EWWW removes some information from the image that Facebook started to read recently.
