    Hi,
I like this plugin, it has so far been easy to use but when it crossposted my new post to Tumblr just now there is no image, and not even a ‘external image’ link like Tumblr usually does with posts from wordpress.

Is there a setting I’m missing?

    Thanks,
    Tom

  • I have the same problem. Have you solve it?

Yes same here, can not get Featured Image to appear. How is this supposed to work correctly ?

I have actually found 2 ways to get some image.

1st – convert post from standard to image, it gets the featured image, but it is all messed up – not centered or aligned. Maybe some setting here is messing things up, not sure, but I am using quite some short codes in the post structure, so it might be that.

2nd – send only post excerpt (you can keep post as Standart in this case) and post the image you want as in the excerpt and it transfers it properly.

Basically work with the excerpt on what information you want to be shown on Thumblr, this seems to be the best way so far, if anyone has a better way please let me know.

    Hope this helps. Thank you.

As is stated in many earlier postings on this forum, a WordPress post using the “Standard” post format does not cross-post featured images. Only “Image” post formats do.

As for being “messed up,” this has nothing to do with the plugin because the only thing the plugin does is send the image data to Tumblr. If the image is displaying, but not aligned “correctly,” then this is something that your Tumblr theme ought take responsibility for, not this plugin.

I never said it due to the plugin, but rather post structure on my blog or as you stated Thumblr settings. ??

Either way I think using the excerpt only for Thumblr posts is more clean and does the job for me at least, as I can keep content for the blog and Thumblr separate.

Thank you for the great plugin.
