Featured Image not showing up on twitter.

Last week, when I first set up yoast, I could not get a featured image to load on twitter. Magically it started working randomly that night when I refreshed the page for like the 100th time. It has been working for a week now… that is until today.

Currently, no new media I upload and set as a featured image will show up when I try to share on twitter. If the media was already uploaded prior to today, I can set it as the featured image and it will show when shared no problem. I tried to upload all different types of files/sizes but nothing new will show up as a featured image. They all show up on facebook and pinterest but not on twitter. I tried uploading media from multiple different user accounts, and creating posts from multiple different user accounts but no matter what I do I can not get it to show. I also tried using different twitter accounts but no luck. I also deactivated every plugin but yoast and still doesn’t work, also tried deactivating and reactivating yoast but didn’t work. Very frustrating. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I was able to figure it out!

Shortly after posting this topic… I was looking at the illustrator artboard I used to create the featured image I was attempting to assign to a post… I realized that one of the images in the illustrator artboard, that was a part of the feature image I was trying to create, had a broken link (you could still see the image and when I saved the jpeg the image was there, but it still had a broken link… not sure how that works). Anyways, I relinked the image, saved the feature image again, uploaded it to my post and this time it showed up on twitter no problem!
