Featured image not working

I have the same, there is no link to set featured image’ anymore on the ‘add new slides’ page. Is it since the last update of the plugin?

Its not the browser, both chrome and firefox dont show the link.

@raymondoh If you edited the front-page.php file, it should only effect the front page. Can you post a link to a page that is missing the featured image so I can take a look?

@rumm This might be a plugin conflict, try deactivating your other plugins and testing the slide editor to see if the the set featured image link is displayed.

Hi Josh. Thanks for the response. By setting up a new test site without meteor slides, I can confirm that the problem of the featured image not showing up on a page still exists. Preliminary research suggests the featured image size could be the problem. I will look further into to Cyberchimps database for a solution.

Hi Josh,
I removed the one plugin I have installed after Meteror Slides, that didnt help. Reinstalling the Meteor Slide plug in didnt help either.
I have no clue what to do now. I liked the slideshow alot.

Can I edit the location of the pictures manually?

@rumm The slide images are featured images and they have to be setup in the media library, they can’t be links to externally. Is the featured image link still missing as well?

Hi Josh. My research suggested that the featured image has to be a certain size in order for it to display. Furthermore, the Responsive theme I am using displays the same header on all pages, so I was also questioning where the featured image would go. I didn’t want to dig any further so instead I inserted images into the pages and posts themselves. I’m happy with that for now. It’s time to upload my thing of beauty! Thank you.

Yes Josh, the link to the medialibrary is still missing in the add slide page. Was away for a while, sorry for the late answer.

Rumm, I took a look, the Slide Image and Slide Link metaboxes were collapsed shut, so only the headers were showing, if you hover over the right corner of a metabox’s header, an arrow appears. That’s a button to expand/collapse the metabox.

Its there now indeed. Strange, I collapsed that box many times without the link appearing. Anyway, thanks alot, glad it works now.
