Featured Image of Post Not Showing Up When Publicized to Facebook

Actually, that gmail image is being used by the sharing icons that are floating on the left side of your side.

I think you have several issues on your site, though, including the redirect one that FB compalins about here: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object?q=http%3A%2F%2Fdmzstory.org%2F

I notice that you are using the Polylang plugin; I think the issue that FB complains about is caused by the “Redirect the language page to the homepage.” setting. Try changing that and see what FB gives you, or ask the plugin author for help: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/polylang

Hi, I too am having problems with the Jetpack Social Sharing package. The facebook sharing is not picking up the posted image. I have tried making the image a Featured Image and this not affect the sharing. Either the FB share goes to my banner picture or I do not get the posted image. The image does share with Pinterest. I downloaded a couple of other FB plugins with the same problem. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Yes. I posted today with a pic and it is not getting pulled to FB. It does fine with Pinterest. I thought the problem was when I had a video and a pic on the blog, but today I had just a pic and it did not pick up. I loaded it twice to WP. As a non-featured image and then as a featured image. I did it IE and Chrome as well.
Here is the blog posting. I thought it was the size of the pic so I chose thumbnail. Nothing.

ok, a few notes:

1) that image is too small. Facebook requires images that are 200px by 200px at least.

I see lots of errors listed by Facebook. You’ll need to look into those. Plus, I notice that you are using the Social Sharing Toolkit v2.1.1 plugin in your site; this over-rides the Jetpack-produced og meta tags needed by Facebook and inserts it’s own, so you’ll need to contact the author of that plugin for additional help if you’ll be using that plugin.

3) you really should update your WordPress installation, you’re using an older version that has had some bugs fixed since.

It worked great today again! I removed the additional sharing plugins but the Jetpack plugin does not have a FB Share. Just a FB Like. But I found one that seems to be working.
The pic size helped too.
I do have to say WP seems to work better Firefox and Chrome than IE for some reason.

Awesome, glad to have helped! Which version of IE are you having issues with? Anything less than IE9 is problematic to say the least, but if it’s an issue with Jetpack, I can see if it’s something that we can fix or not.

As for Jetpack not having FB sharing, there IS the Sharing module: https://jetpack.me/support/sharing/

Have you looked at that? What else would you like?

IE 10. It may not be Jetpack. I am using a plugin by Brainstorm media to edit color, fonts, layout. (I have not mastered CSS). As I make edits, the preview page does not appear in IE but does in Chrome. Weird.
I have the same problem when working in my Amazon store and creating widgets. I cannot see the widget in IE but I can in Chrome.
Could be my PC.

Well, I’d ask the plugin authors for help with that, then. IE in general is tricky, but 10 is much better. Good luck with that!

The only othe plugin that I have installed on my site is Instagrate Pro. I cannot deactivate this plugin as it automatically creates posts from Instagram images, a key feature that I need for my site.
