Featured Image on Media Files Not Saving/Updating

  • Having updated to WordPress 5.8 I find that I can no longer add or update a featured image to a media file such as image, audio file, video file. I can “set image file” add or change it and it appears in the menu under Featured Image and once I update to save it disappears.

    Did you already use the Health Check plugin to deactivate other plugins and check for conflict? You’ve logged out, cleared cache and logged back in?
