Featured Image on pages appearing wide top

Hello, for pages for some reason the featured image appears wide at the top whereas for posts the sidebar has about 1/3 of the page on the right. Is there any way to display pages with the featured image to the side of the sidebar. Ex. https://www.screencast.com/t/GnKWdweUq
