Featured Image Option Not Available

I am working on a new website and I have implemented a theme called https://themeforest.net/item/photography-fullscreen-wordpress-theme-johnblack-photography/18151772 I had asked the theme author ahead of time if the theme was compatible with EDD….he said yes…but, I wonder? When, I add a product (image), there is no FEATURED IMAGE option thus thumbnails are not showing up in the shortcode. What do you think?
