Featured image problem

    Hi there,
    I recently switched to your theme and after customizing and publishing my first post with it today, I’m having a few issues. Most notable, there’s no image appearing with the blog excerpt on the main blog page. The image appears on the single blog post, but not on the blog page. And there’s no image in the google preview. As you can see on my home page, all the other posts have a large main image right after the title and an image in the google preview for both mobile and desktop.

    Also, the blog identity’s tagline keeps appearing under my logo in the header in grey type. How do I get rid of that?

  • Hello @lauralsweet,

    Please make sure to install the theme plugin (Ocean Extra), please follow the steps explained in this article: https://docs.oceanwp.org/article/66-installing-recommended-plugin.

    After that, if your issue persists again, please head over to Customizing Environment > Blog > Blog Entries, a bit scrolling down, and find the “Elements Positioning” section.
    Then you need to click on the grey eye for the “Feature Image”. Also, you can drag this item to design your desired blog items.

    Note: You can repeat the above steps in Customizing Environment > Blog > Single Post for showing the feature image on the single post page.

    Regarding the tagline issue, if you activate Ocean Extra plugin, it will disappear, then; if you want to return it, follow this article: https://docs.oceanwp.org/article/517-add-a-title-tag-to-your-logo.

    Shahin,
    all of that has already been done. I have Ocean WP Extra loaded and activated already. And I’d already selected Feature image on both single entries and blog entries. I’ve emptied the cache and still no image!

    In the single posts and entries, I can see all featured images: https://i.postimg.cc/sfnLwYbg/image.png.

    Can you confirm you faced that issue again? If you use the lazy image load, please disable it and recheck it.

    My apologies for not replying sooner. Yes, It is now working. But then it made all my previous posts written on another theme have double images at the top so I had a developer go in and fix that for me.
