Featured Image showing twice

    Hi,

    I just upgraded to the latest version of Bento (1.7.2) and now, the featured images are showing twice on each page. One at the header (full-width) and one in the page itself. This was not the case with the previous version.

    For now, I disabled the featured images, so the background image is showing in the header, but this is not what I want!

    I have left one page with a featured image, so you can see the problem:

    Hey Bart,

    thanks for noting this! Indeed, it’s an unneeded consequence (i.e. a bug) of the recent fixes for thumbnail visibility for grid items. We’ve submitted an update (ver. 1.7.3) fixing this while preserving the previous improvements. It should be live and available in the “Appearance – Themes” interface of your WP within several hours.

    I have the same issue of an image showing up twice on my site https://www.holycovenantmcc.org and I cannot get rid of it. I have version 1.7.3 Bento installed. What can I do to get rid of the one image?

    This is indeed an unwanted consequence of the last changes; we’ve submitted a new update (1.7.4) which, among other things, fixes this issue. It should be available online in several hours. Thanks for your patience!

    Hey Barbara,

    the update is still being processed by the www.ads-software.com team – this is longer than it normally takes, but we should also consider the fact that all of this is volunteer-type, unpaid activity. I’m sure the new version will be up soon, thanks for your patience! ??

    I just updated to version 1.7.6 and it appears this behavior has returned.

    Same issue here!

    By the way, you can hide it using some CSS, while we’re waiting on the theme being fixed. Format is

    .page-id-5 .post-thumbnail {display:none;}

    (Change the page id # to whatever the problem page is–you can find the page id number by opening inspect and doing a quick ctrl-f for page-id.)

    @lauramay7, Andrii has resolved the issue with an updated version of the theme. See the thread currently at the top of the forum, the post started by me.
