Featured Image 'Suddenly' Not Working!?

  • Had site up and running working fine.

    Went to change a thumbnail, after i clicked ‘remove featured image’ and then uploaded new image and clicked ‘Use as featured image’ nothing happens, just jumps to top of pop-up window as if the link just had a #

    I’ve not changed anything and had it set up in the functions.php fine.

    How can it suddenly not work?

  • I’m having the same problem. I’ve cleared the cache, tried different browsers, different images, different posts, the usual…

    It was working fine, and then suddenly it just jumps to the top of the page like you described. It may have been the update to 3.0.1 that broke it. But then, it may have been something else, I can’t remember exactly at what point it stopped working.

    Did you manage to get it working again?

    I’m still having this problem. Does anybody have any ideas?

    The only workaround that I have found to this odd behavior is to click on “Insert into post”, at which point the image is inserted into the post and also realizes that it is supposed to be the featured image. You end up with two images of course, which can be resolved by deleting the one inserted into the post. Ridiculous workaround, but it seems like only two people have seen this problem.

    I’m having a similar issue. Sometimes I’ll see the “save all changes” for a second and then it disappears. Without the save all button in the thick box, I can’t actually save the changes!

    I got it to work once with some combination of insert into image and update, but I can’t recreate it now. Definitely a bug.
