    Hi,

I’m having an issue with the featured thumbnail sizes for some of the images on my site. I’m kind of new to WordPress, so I’m having a little trouble sorting out the problem. Any help you could give would be great.

I have my site on a stage server where everything is displaying correctly. It seems to be sizing the thumbnails consistently. In my theme I have two sets of member thumbnails displaying by category. I did some image edits on the images in the Media screen that cropped the images the way I wanted them. The site then seemed to size the cropped images when it displays them. The first set are three members and on the stage server their thumbnails all seem to be getting sized to 370×280. The second set are all sizing to 150×150.

I imported the site to the production server, and now my images are not consistent sizes. It still displays the cropped images, but it looks like what it is doing is it is taking the cropped image, setting the width to what it needs to be and just scaling the images proportionally but not doing the additional crop that was making all of the height consistent. So now instead of the first set all being 370×280, They are all 370 wide but differing heights. I can’t seem to find a setting that makes it crop like it did on the stage site, so I’m not sure how to fix it. I also was going to try uploading the images again onto the production site and recrop them etc., but when I upload the images, if I try to edit them I get a broken image icon in the image edit screen.

Can anyone point me to where I might go to sort this out?

It turns out GD2 wasn’t installed on the server, for anyone who might also have this problem. Once GD2 is installed the thumbnails were able to be created.
