Featured image URL not getting into twitter:image

    For every post I have a 320×213 image uploaded to WordPress media library and selected in post as a featured image.

    Currently with this plugin version 3.1.4 I get twitter:image property empty. I believe when I applied for Twitter cards over a month ago I had everything working properly.

    I have no clue where to start at or what information can I provide to isolate the problem.

    Update: this sounds crazy, but after I modified jm-twitter-cards.php, suddenly it started to insert the full URL to the featured image. I mean I just touched the file, no real modification was needed. Like if some old non-working version had been cached somewhere…

    Still I have twitter ignoring the images for summary cards though.

    Please consider not to patronize users who experience problems with your plugin, submit support requests and write feedback on what is happening. If you read the description, you would find the difference.

    I think you misunderstood what I’m tying to explain. I’m happy with feedback but the fact is I do not have all day to answer.

    Nevertheless I care about my users that is why I spend a lot of my time to improve plugin according to feedbacks and my own tests and a lot of topic are resolved whereas a lot of plugin writers do not even answer to support.

    EDIT: you know 1 issue – 1 topic – it is better for me to get organized.

    There were two things here:

    1) the plugin showed empty twitter:image value until I put “blabla” into the jm-twitter-cards.php and got “blablahttps://www…/…” and correct URL to image.

    2) despite having a correct URL in the twitter:image now – Twitter validator does not display the image in the preview Twitter Card and Twitter does not display card at all.

    Shall I understand your words (from the other post) “Featured image defined the WordPress way works great” that you checked the behaviour and it works ok for you now?

    You’re very agressive so it will be the last time I say it : there’s already a topic for NGG

    The plugin shows a fallback image you set in option page if no featured image is set in post, that’s it.

    Why are you answering the problem that Twitter validator does not display featured image set through WordPress’ native media library with a link to a topic about NextGen Gallery?

    Read the thread: you are the first one to use the term “NGG” here.

    …and I decided to push my aggression to the limits and post link to screenshots proving Twitter validator does not display images in the summary cards: example 1, example 2.

    Even though I don’t use NGG as you try to suggest.
