• I sometimes use the edit pic function inside WordPress to resize and cut my images.
I’ve noticed that, once an image has been resized (or edited in general) WordPress creates a new image with the same name followed by -e and a series of numbers/letters

For example if I have image.jpg after the editing WordPress creates the new image called image-e1211463886.jpg (numbers are random).

Now, on the media library under File name: it correctly appeared the link for the edited image instead, under Copy Link it remains the original one.

After resizing, once I attach it as Featured image on a blog post, WordPress shows the original image instead of the edited one

Se the fact that the featured image displayed is the original and not the resized one could be an issue on theme and not on WordPress itself?

I’m using a Premium theme and, if it was the case, I’ll contact the theme’s support
