Hello, I have a question, regarding the operation of CPTUI.
I have created four post types of house improvement trades, all of which appear in my WordPress admin, which is great. (Electrical, Plumbing, Carpeting and Flooring)
I would like to display the four post types in a grid on my homepage, each with a featured image, so that visitors can click on this image, to get to the list of services, underneath.

I didn’t see anywhere to add a featured image for each of these post types, which effectively, you could say, are categories.
Am I missing something simple here please?

No functionality missing there, as I’ve never really heard of the post types themselves having functionality like featured images or meta data. There could be plugins out there for that type of thing, but it’s nothing that we have with CPTUI.

This is probably something I’d rely for a custom taxonomy for, giving you exact functionality like categories, and could have term meta available. Perhaps “house improvements” for the post type, and “trade” for the taxonomy. I believe plugins like Advanced Custom Fields could help with term meta boxes as well, giving easy UI for you.

Hello Michael, thank you first of all, for the very quick response. I also appreciate your suggestion and of course, adding the post type / taxonomy pair, with custom fields for the terms, is the answer.
I’ve used CPTUI for several years, but never in this config and if I just thought about it for a while longer, I think this solution would have came to me.

Thanks again for the prompt assistance
