Featured Image, when in gif format, not showing on category page…

Good afternoon,

So essentially, having newly upgraded to 4.5.1, whenever I set a gif as my ‘Featured Image’, it doesn’t show in category pages…

For example, the image associated with this feature shows only as a broken thumbnail on the applicable category page…

Any help would, as per always, be greatly appreciated!
