Featured Images and Subs Linked to Categories on Header

Hey,

So bare with me for a moment here:

I’m looking to link my featured images and brief summary area underneath featured images, with the main header that has pages and categories. For example, there is featured images A, B, and C, all with subject summaries underneath. So image A is about cooking breakfast, with a picture of bfast food as the featured image and a summary of why breakfast food is delicious. On the header bar there is also the tabs: Home (Blog), About (Page), A (Category, in this case bfast food), B (Category), and C (Category). Category A about bfast food has good recipes to use.

What I would like is if the featured image/summary below bfast foods acted as welcome mat to the Category A bfast food header tab with recipes. So that if I clicked the bfast food featured image and summary (with reasons why bfast is delicious), it would link to my Category A tab with blog posts about different delicious bfast recipes!
