• My featured images are always cut off in the post. Since they are products, this is very unfortunate. I therefore always have to format the photos myself before posting. How is it possible that the featured images are not cropped, reduced yes, but not cropped.
    Thanks for your help

    Hi @johann60,

    One of the features of the Twenty Fifteen theme is that the Featured images do automatically crop to a certain size and format. That default size is 825px wide by 510px high.

    One way of getting around that would be to try using the ‘Image’ Post Format – which shows the full image being used.

    If you can share your site and/or the product pages I can also take a look and see if there are any other suggestions to offer.

    thanks for your reply , will look at the article right away, the relevant page is this: https://antikamrathaus.de/

    my wish would be to get the possibility that the uploaded photos that i then receive as featured images are no longer cropped but only proportionally reduced/enlarged.

    Thanks for confirming – I do think that the best (and possibly) only way to be able to do that with the Twenty Fifteen theme – is to use the ‘Image’ post format for those posts.

    Are you able to give that a try and see how it goes?

    thx for yout reply, I really appreciate your help

    For the single post its ok but the product list in which the overview of the products are, the featured image is still cut off. First you see the overview list and then click on it if interested, but if in the product list (generated from the featured image images) the product is not displayed completely, one has no interest in the detail.

    Is it not somehow possible to turn off the cropping of the featured image pictures?

    Hi @johann60 I am not quite sure what you are using to display the products but its very likely that this it not something provided by the theme.

    Nevertheless, the images you uploaded for the products are being scaled to a smaller proportion as shown on this page. The image with the pen looks like it is cut off because it is not to proportion. On your site, the aspect ratio for the product images 3 / 4 you can use the CSS code below to change the aspect ratio which would help with some cut-off images:

    .st-product-search img
    {
    aspect-ratio: 4 / 3
    }

    I would suggest looking at the product images you uploaded and making sure everything has a similar image size so that when they’re scaled down to proportion they look the same. Right now some images are squares and some are rectangles.
