Featured images assigned with the excerpt will not display with the excerpt

Hey, guys
Hope this is not already out there, but I could not find even a question similar to the problem, yet alone an answer.

So, I use the Forever theme and I have a functional slider, but the problem is that the posts with featured images do not appear with the excerpt in the recent posts feed on my home page.
Each post that I turn into sticky with featured appears on the slider but it is nowhere to be found on the home page. The theme is supposed to have, under the slider, a section with featured image posts with excerpt. How can I make them appear?
