Featured Images causing high CPU usage spike

    I just wanted to report that since WordPress updated to 6.0 and PHP updated to 7.4, Featured Images is causing a high CPU usage spike causing my host to throttle my usage. I will be disabling until the issue is fixed.

    Hi @dangtravelers I’ve not had any other reports of this, and we run 6.0 and PHP 7.4, and have not experienced high CPU.

    What is showing you that it is our plugin, and not the RSS feed or other plugins conflicting? I am happy to help troubleshoot it futher if we can nail down what would cause this.

    The plugin basically only hooks into the RSS action, and adds some HTML to the response. It shouldn’t cause major CPU use unless the feed is not cached and there are many requests for the feed.
