I’m sorry, because I see that there are similar topics, but it’s 2 days that I’m fighting with it and I don’t get an answer.
I was having my blog at wordpress.com (leikks), and I’ve recently moved to www.ads-software.com https://www.leix.org).
In both cases I’m using the Untitled theme.
After resolving plenty of problems, I cannot make the featured image of my pages to be displayed. It is displayed in my posts, but not in the pages.
I’ve already installed the jetpack plugin, and checked the reading options for featured content, but however it doesn’t want to be displayed.
Could you please help me. I’m pretty new and suffering quite a lot.

    Thanks a lot in advance

Hi there, if you wouldn’t mind explaining what you’re trying to do in a bit more detail I’d be glad to try to help.

For example, I see your self-hosted contact page here:

    https://www.leix.org/contact

    And its WordPress.com equivalent:

    https://leikks.wordpress.com/contact/

The pages look very similar, each with a header image at the top. If you could explain in more depth exactly what doesn’t look at you’d expect, with a specific example, it would be super helpful. Thanks!

Hi Kathrin, and thanks a lot for your attention.
The problem I tried to explain is not with the header, but with the featured images, supposed to be shown in the full-width of the screen (when you’ve got them; in the contact page I don’t).

That’s how i had and I want it:
    https://leikks.wordpress.com/
And so is how it comes in www.ads-software.com:
    https://www.leix.org/
(I have added the image gallery while I cannot get the featured image :))

Thanks again, and pleased to be in the forum.

    Hi there,

Thanks for the additional details, I see what you mean. For a page where you want the featured image to appear, can you do the following:

    1. Open it for Editing
    2. Upload a new featured image (don’t just select an existing one from the library. Rather, re-upload the image).
    3. Save your changes, and reload the page.

If it’s still not working, let us know.

    Thanks Chellycat!

I’ve followed the steps you said, but it still doesn’t work.
I’ve also erased the file from the media library and uploaded it again, but it keeps not showing.

Taking advantage of your attention, may I ask, if once we’ll have solved it is there the possibility to add a link to the featured image?

Thanks a lot again, and sorry for giving you problems…

Hi there, featured images don’t allow for a link by default, but you could try modifying the function so it does, using this tutorial as a base:

    https://www.paulund.co.uk/add-link-around-wordpress-post-featured-image

Would you mind clarifying whether the image showing in the header here is not your contact page’s featured image:

Do you know where this image is coming from?

Actually, I think I can replicate this issue on a test site. I will ask our developers to look at it and will keep you posted here.

    Thanks again, Kathrin!
I’ll try with the tutorial that you linked when I’ll have a little time.
About what you put in the cloud: no, this is the header, I haven’t got a featured image in the contact page, I’ve got it in my home page. The image of the header is coming from the images that I uploaded for the header, which are 2 and are showed randomly.

I’ll be waiting for the developers’ opinion ?? Thanks!

Howdy! Can you try installing the version of Untitled here: https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/untitled/

(Look in the right-hand sidebar for the “Download Untitled for your self-hosted WordPress site” link.)

The version currently on www.ads-software.com hasn’t been updated with the ability to add Featured Images to Pages yet, but the above version should work. Give that a shot and let us know how it goes. Thanks!

    Hi,
I know it’s not the right topic, but I’m trying to contact with somebody that can help me in adding music/sound to the main page (and the next 15 circles, and the next…) in SPUN Theme.

I mean some clicking sounds or some self-created tune for the main page.

    Regards!
    F.
