Featured images not working when sharing posts

I put your post through the Facebook debugger and the image does show.

With Google, your first image didn’t work, but you can choose another one and that looks fine.

For future reference, when you copy your URL into the Facebook Debugger, it often fixes problems like this. One other suggestion: Always make sure that your featured images are not smaller than 600px.

Must be a side effect of the new responsive feature in WordPress 4.4..
Previously I would just load up an image to my website, from my camera (26 megapixel) and fire and forget.
I bet the old WordPress was making a “Websize” image, and thus a scaled copy would be sent with the link when Facebook etc fetched the post.

Now the new responsive image feature is obviously sending the original image which Facebook and G+ didn’t like?

Weird how it started working though. Maybe Bluehost tweaked my WordPress install today after I asked them to help?

Moral is, I will prescale my source images before posting!
