Featured-Images prevent being cropped

    Hello,
    I would like to use this (awesome) Theme as a Portfolio-website.

    When I set a Featured-Image it gets cropped at its top and bottom, so that the whole aesthetic gets lost…

    Best Example is the 2nd Post (Drawing from Defregger).

    How do I get these featured images showing up in their original aspect ratio, with for example a max-height of 400px?
