• I recently migrated my website to a new hosting provider, and since then, the AVIF output format and the imagick image optimization library have been enabled. When I was with my previous hosting provider, these features weren’t available.

I’ve noticed that since the migration, whenever I share posts on social media platforms like X, Facebook, Bluesky, Buffer, and LinkedIn, the featured images aren’t showing up.

Could this be because of the AVIF image format?

Note that I have AVIF image optimization checked via the GD image library.

On top of that, I’m using LiteSpeed cache’s image optimization feature. Is it OK running Compressx alongside LiteSpeed’s image optimization features?

    Hello @paulgiorkas32

Please note that CompressX only converts and compresses images, it does not change structures of original images. It is generally the browser’s choice to call images, so we guess the issue should not be related to CompressX. You can verify that by trying to temporarily disable CompressX and see if that resolves the issue.

In the meantime, you can tell us what plugin you use for social media sharing so we can try to test it.

Regarding the LiteSpeed question, please note that CompressX supports Litespeed servers, but it is not compatible with LiteSpeed image optimization features. It is always recommended to use only one image optimization function on a site at the same time.

    All the best,
