Featured Media Images Not Showing (Xampp Windows)

  • Hi!

    I did a WP install in Xampp and all seems work well. However…

    If I upload a image via posts and Featured Image box it says, “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”

    However, if I go into the media manager the image IS there, the Month ets directories ARE created.

    If I upload an image through the media manager direct. It uploads and says “Crunching” in a blue button and never exits.

    If I go the the media manager the file is there.

    Oh, Its WordPress 4.1

    In searching past versions seemed to allow changing some paths in Settings->Media that is no longer there.

    If I in a post -> Feature image box just open it to select an existing image, it never shows any at all. Just sits there.

    Please advise.
