Featured post image size

  • Hello,

    I’m trying to change the size of the featured images from the posts because I would like them to show up like they do on the frontpage of the Ashe theme (I′m using the free version), more like a square shape, with the images following the hight of the post excerpt. On my page, the images are always small in hight (making a rectangle shape), no matter the size I upload them, causing a lot of white empty space between the posts.

    I started the page with the Hestia theme and later I changed to Ashe. Is it possible that this is causing the issue (the images are the same size that appeared in the Hestia frontpage)? But even in a new post, the same thing happens. I really don’t know what to do.

    At first, thank you for choosing our theme and service.

    The previous theme can be related to the issue, to be more clear, the theme may be created in thumbnail sizes which are not fitter for the Ashe theme.

    Your website is under construction mode and we are not able to check/debug the website. Please share screenshots of the issue, we will be able to provide more detailed instructions.

    As you can see, the smaller image is the one I would like to change. The bigger image is closer to how I would like it to be.

    I tried to ajust the images again on canvas and found out that with a much bigger size
    2560 x 2350, the image fits the layout I would like it to be, but it definetly loses quality. Also, it will probably make the page too heavy and will slow it down.

    So, the problem is when I upload the images, they don′t come in the featured size of Ashe. Do I have to resize the images to an specific size?

    Hi Gabriela,

    We recommend rebuilding your thumbnail images to your preferred sizes, for that you need to use 3rd party plugin: Ajax Thumbnail Rebuild or a related one.
