Featured Posts dissapearing

    Good morning!

    First of all, thank you for providing the Lectura Lite theme. It’s very clean and looks great!

    I’m experimenting with the Lectura Lite theme with a “test site” at the moment and getting a bit stuck with the “Featured Posts”.

    I created 9 posts which were tagged with “Feature this Post in the Homepage Slideshow”.

    Initially, this looked great, but every time i add a regular post, not tagged with “Feature this Post in the Homepage Slideshow”, then one of the 9 featured posts stops displaying.

    What i really want is for the “Featured Posts” to persist indefinitely AND to have a healthy news feed with regular items being added.

    Is this possible at all?

    Hello Matt,
    The slideshow has a separate loop that exists outside of the main “recent posts loop”. So technically there is no reason for the contents of one section to affect the other section of the homepage.
    This is of course valid if you don’t have plugins or some unique configuration that would change the default behavior.

    I went back to plugins and you are right! It was a plugin, not the theme at all! I had installed the “Hide Posts” plugin in an attempt to hide the “Slideshow” posts from the news feed! Thought i had unconfigured it, but it was still enabled.

    It’s a really neat theme. I need to experiment now with how the other pages will look, but the front looks really neat.
