    Hello,

I’m quite new here and I’m already stuck. I want my 5 top posts featured but even with a tag they won’t show up.

    Anyone who can help?

    With regards,

    Mark

Hey Mark – I’m seeing five featured posts displaying as expected here: offbeat.nu

Did you get this sorted out or do you still need help with anything?

Yes, should have read the previous posts first. But thanks!

One other question; my images in the featured spots aren’t well focused. Do you know how I can change this?

Could you explain in more detail what you mean by not being “well focussed”? Do you mean they seem blurry to you? They aren’t cropping the part of the image that you prefer? Something else? Thanks!

    Hi Kathryn,

I mean, on the right you see two square images. But the original size of the picture who’s in the square is bigger. The problem is that only the left part of the picture is shown in the square now. I want that the middle of the picture is shown. Do you understand?

You see the image on the right (featured)? You only see the left part of the image. But I wan’t it to be shown/focussed in the middle.

WordPress does not let you choose which part of an image to include/crop in featured posts, but could experiment with plugins that let you do that. Here’s one, for example:

    Hello

I use Canard in a wordpress.com blog. It works pretty well.

Now I’m trying to build the same blog in Bluehost. But Canard does not work. The five images don’t appear. When I go to “personalize” I can’t find the option “feature”.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thank you

zeantoniolima – you’ll need to activate the Jetpack plugin on a self-hosted site to use featured content. No specific module is needed.

If you need further help, could you please start a new thread so we can troubleshoot one-on-one? Thanks.
