Are those posts marked as Sticky posts?

If you can share a link to the site a can take a look to see what is going on and offer you a solution

    Regards,
    Zulf

I’m having the same issue now from the latest update that came down. Checked or unchecked, the “Show Featured Posts in blog feed?” has no effect now.

I’m seeing the feature posts that I’ve selected by making them sticky and they appear in the blog feed.

Perfect! Thnx! I’m gonna try it out as soon as possible!

Any update on the bug fix? Seems that on two of my blogs that I haven’t messed with the settings are showing right but on the one site that I did change some settings the feature stopped working.

    Just committed the update.

@richard – if you could elaborate more on what was changed when you state

but on the one site that I did change some settings the feature stopped working.

I’ll do my best to try to reproduce the issue and do my best to sort a solution out.

    Hi Zulf,

I have just installed 1.2.3 and decided to see what effect the new options have on my site – https://www.humansinspace.org , but as I suspected I got into deep trouble.

I clicked to change the order of featured posts (a new feature) and then decided to put it back to the default (by date), but it show the OLDEST posts first and my very fresh, first posts – LAST! This didn’t happen until I changed the option for experimentation.

How can I go back quickly to 1.2.2 or any other way to fix this quickly?
    Thank you

    Hello sculpto,

Did you check the secondary option to set the posts in either Ascending or Descending too?

You can always get any of the previous versions here: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/fourteen-extended/developers/

    Regards,
    Zulf

    Hi Zulf,

Yes, the secondary option Ascending/Descending stays as by Default – on Descending. I tried to put it on Ascending and then Save’n’Publish and then put it back on Descending and Save’n’Publish, but it sort of got stuck in this order – last posts on the top and latest posts at the bottom. The Ascending/Descending option works, though on the other order types.

Thank you for the quick reply.
    Regards

    Hi Zulf,

First of all, thank you for responding so quickly within minutes to this.
I will keep this link in future in case of emergencies like this one!

I did a quick test – deleted 14-extended, then installed 1.2.2, everything was fine, then upgraded to 1.2.3 – again this issue! This time right from the installation. So, I deleted again and installed 1.2.2 and I’m staying with it for now.

Hope this helps to resolve this.
If I can give you more info, ask me. Thanks

    Cheers
    Great work on this plugin!

These things can be very persistent :-$

I’m thinking an enable disable option to the option might come handy? i.e. the check box if set would block that option’s output being sent to the browser sort of thing.

Need to consult some experts in the area of reset data or revert to previous options I think – this would be a better solution for all I believe.

I’ll get the check box added in the current version with no bump up on version which should be picked up by new/re-installs.

    Regards,
    Zulf

OK, thank you, I will stay with 1.2.2 today and I will update to 1.2.3 tomorrow and will use that check box that you will add.

But, yes, as you said, a more systematic approach to this “bug” might be needed.

    Cheers
    Regards

First, I want to say that this plugin is great … the center alignment works really well.

    https://www.lakemarion.org

I did test the beta version, but alas the featured post does not work.

F.Y.I. When I disable the plugin, featured posts works as expected, when I enable the plugin – the latest posts feature which is not exactly what should be happening.

Keep up the great work Zulf.
