Featured posts plugin

Hi,

Does anyone know of a decent Featured posts plugin?

Ideally i’d like to be able to choose which categories the posts are shown from.

I tried the CB-Featured plugin but i got loads of errors when i activated.

Alternatively if anyone knows of a plugin or sidebar widget that can display post titles along with a thumbnail image from within a chosen category, please pass on the details.

The one plugin ive found that comes close to the latter option (i.e sidebar with post titles and images) is the Random Featured posts – however i don’t want to show random posts – i’d like it to display posts in the order they are written (i.e newest first).

Any help as always is greatly appreciated.
