Featured Product Category – Remove Button

Hey
I am bulding a grid of Prod Categories using a number of this block. It insists on a button and I want it gone. Also I want each feat container to link to the category in question.
Also I wish to control placement of content txt and the option to limit description to say 10 words… Is this possible, is it planned?

If I understood correctly, you would like to remove the CTA button included in the Category featured block (You can hide the button using CSS), and limit the description to 10 words, and to randomly pull a sub-category from a given category.
