Featured Slider & Image Stopped Showing

    Hi I have the latest version of Catch Box theme installed. Recently the first featured image in the slider works fine. After that featured images disappear and leave only the text. This worked fine for several weeks and then seemingly just stopped working on a random day. I can’t think of any changes that were implemented that caused the issue to occur but that is not to say that I didn’t do something stupid to cause the issue. The main thing to know is that all the featured images are set correctly and I can change the post ID’s on the featured slider and no matter which are featured, only the first one will show an image. The images of all the posts on the main page went away at the same time. I hope I explained it well so that it is understandable.

    In addition I would like to know with specificc .css code how to increase the text box below the images so it doesn’t get larger and smaller as the scrollers go by. This was a problem before the featured images quit showing.

    @bdleasure: Did you add in the featured image in the post. You need to add in the featured image in the post and then add in the Post ID in the Featured Slider Post IDs.

    Yes, every post has a featured image as well as images inside the post. There are only 4 featured in the slider and their post ID’s are in the proper placed. The strange thing is that no matter which post we put as the top featured post, it will show the image but the following 3 featured posts do not.

    Also, if you look down the page all of the posts have featured images along with images in the post and none of them have the images at the top of the post. It is as if something happened site wide that will not allow the images to show up in the blog except for the first featured image slider.

    Here was the fix for others that read this post in the future:

    “I looked at all the issues with the theme and plugins. Finally I found that the plugin “phpbb_recent_topics“. So, I have deactivate it.

    To find the issue in the site I needed to deactivate all the plugins and check the plugins one by one. In this process, there might be missing settings in the plugins. Please check and add in the necessary settings. You also need to connect your Jetpack plugin to WordPress.com as this got disconnected after I deactivate and reactivated the plugin.”

    So it looks like other plugins can cause issues with the featured images.
