Featured slider looks terrible on mobile site

Hi! I’m fairly new to wordpress and my site isn’t fully up and running yet. I am looking for a way to stop the featured slider from being responsive. I don’t like the way that my images are cropped on mobile devices. I also do not like how the slider is in portrait mode on mobile, and how it takes up the whole page. Is there any way that I can fix the position of the slider, so that it stays the same shape as my header?

Also, I noticed that on tablet mode, my header text does not fit within the header image. Is there any way around this?
