There are two possible issues here:

    1. Do you know if those image sizes are “hard cropping” or “soft cropping”? If the latter, it will scale the image down to fit within a box of that size but not crop it, which means the images could be different sizes (but all within a 600×400 box).

    2. Were the images uploaded before or after you added the Atomic Blocks plugin or registered those image sizes? If they were uploaded before the AB plugin (and its image sizes) were added then WordPress wouldn’t have generated them when you uploaded the image. You can fix this by running Regenerate Thumbnails.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Bill,

    1. That’s a good question. I assumed it was hard cropped, just like with most other Genesis featured images in themes and plugins (at least the ones I worked with).

    2. No, this happens with all images and already since I installed the grid a few years ago. Never bothered with the different heights until I changed the layout of the site and began to wonder why they are not cropped.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will add a new custom cropped image size and then regenerate all featured images.

    Jack
