Features in the Dashboard Missing

I duplicated my wordrpesss using the old method (copy database and then change the url in settings). The site is working but when I login to the admin dashboard couple of things are missing, such as the settings section, couple of custom postypes in my theme is not there. If I visit the page using the direct link, it works (i.e. domain/wp-admin/options-general.php)
Any idea what has happened?
