FeaturesUtil::declare_compatibility: index.php is not a known WordPress plugin

  • In my WordPress logfile I have thousands of entries (every few seconds one), with this error message:

    ERROR FeaturesUtil::declare_compatibility: index.php is not a known WordPress plugin.

    What could be causing this?

    To rule out a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.
