    Hi!

we have problems with feed generation occasionally. Most of the times auto run works but some times the generation fails and give a 0 records feed which gives varning emails from Facebook. We run the feed every hour and when it fails it sort of is stucked for many hours until it kicks in again.

We fulfill all plugin requirements. I have checked the “Auto feed fix” option. I have also checked logfiles as suggested to others in other threads. Today I found following error message in a log file under WooCommerce status and in wp-product-feed-manager folder.

2021-09-09T19:06:28+00:00 CRITICAL Uncaught Error: Call to undefined method LiteSpeed\CSS::cls() in /home/idigdeni/b2c.idigdenim/wp-content/plugins/litespeed-cache/src/css.cls.php:294

    #4 {main}
thrown in /home/idigdeni/b2c.idigdenim/wp-content/plugins/litespeed-cache/src/css.cls.php on line 294

Otherwise I haven’t found any clues about what makes the feed manager get stuck. It has happened without getting any error messages at all.

I checked the “Feed process logger” option to find more information but I don’t know where to find the log. Sorry if I did this without you saying so.

    Help is highly appreciated

    Hello @mats1,

Sorry to hear you’re having issues with our plugin.

You could try to increase your servers WordrPress memory limit and check if that improves the feed generation stability. You might try to double what you now have.

The feed process loggings can be found in the ‘wp-content/uploads/wppfm-logs’ folder, but they have specific debugging data that probably will not help you identify the issue by yourself.

Let’s see what an memory limit increase does to the stability.

    Hello Michel,

thanks for the reply. The Memory limit is already set to 512M but I will Increase the memory limit. Can I just ask you about the free version and number of products. Does the 100 products limit include variations or is it the main products that counts? What happens when you hit the 100 product limit? Can this cause unpredicted results?

    Hi @mats1,

Lets see if the memory upgrade improves the reliability of the feed generation process.

The free version does not handle product variations, so it is limited to the main products. The plug-in just stops after 100 products, so there should not be any strange results. The first 100 products should be correct.

    Hi Michel,

I changed the memory limit from 512M to 1024M. During yesterday I also disabled wp-cron in wp-config and set up a server cron in the cPanel.
The feed failed 09:00 today but succeeded 10:00. So still have the problem where the feed fails from time to time I’m afraid. How can we investigate this further?

    Hello @mats1,

    Sorry for my late reply.

Could you please?check for any error log files in any of the following places:

1)?On the WooCommerce -> Status -> Logs page
2)?In the ‘wp-content’ folder on your server
3)?In the ‘wp-content/plugins/wp-product-feed-manager’ folder on your server.

If you can not find any error.log file, but do have a development or test server, please switch your test server to the debug mode, perform the action again and check all four places again for an error log file.

More information about switching to the debug mode can be found here:?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RWnuHqEC4I

If you find any error logging file, please send it to [email protected] refering to this topic.

    Hello Michel,

The feed generation has actually been quite stable the last 5 days but I was just checking it right now and it was about to processing the generation but it failed. Lucky me there was a fresh error log file. I have sent it to your email address.

    Thanks Mats,

But that’s not an error log. That’s a feed log from the Feed process logger.

Could you check for error logs in any of the following places:

    1) On the WooCommerce -> Status -> Logs page
    2) In the ‘wp-content’ folder on your server
    3) In the ‘wp-content/plugins/wp-product-feed-manager’ folder on your server.

You don’t need to wait for a feed to fail, just check the three places and send me the loggings you find. If there are no loggings also let me know.

    Ah, ok

No error log file in woocommerce on with todays date
No error log file in the wp-content folder
One error log file in the wp-content/plugins/wp-product-feed-manager which I have sent you.

    Thanks!
