• Hallo sir, i have issue with the wordpress default feed it was not refreshing automatically until i refresh manually on publisher center, then i found this plugin after updating the GN feed in publisher center the featured image was not showing in preview and also in google news .. But in default wordpress feed image was displaying on preview and also in google news ..iam using render AMP option ..its asking me to use Feed Content but its too not showing the images ..

iam using 1200 pixel wide and 750 pixel height for featured image .. there have no duplicate image ..

i want to use any only one feed WordPress Default or GN feed ? it will make the issues like that ?

  • Hi Akil,

For some reason the featured image is not being included in the GN Publisher feed .

If you go to the plugin’s settings, is the ‘Include featured image’ setting checked? It should be in your case,

Yes sir i checked … and also tried with uncheck and checked its not working ..but deafult wp feed showing images .. and GN feed too not updating the feed automaticaly i waited more than 1 hour ..but after refresh manually on google news ..posts are updating instantly ..

The plugin pings Google each time you publish or edit a post – but it’s still up to Google on when they actually update it in the Publisher Center – and they’ve been slow lately.

If you don’t mind, I just released an update for GN Publisher – would you mind updating it on your Plugins page. I don’t think the new version is going to fix the problem with the image not being included in your feed – I haven’t identified what’s causing that yet, still investigating – but let’s see if it has any affect,

Oh, also, are you using another plugin that alters rss feeds? If so, can you disable it for a few minutes and check to if that fixes the issue with GN Publisher? If disabling the other plugin works, let me know what that plugin is and I’ll see if I can recreate the problem on my test site and fix it ??

No, i didnt use any Alters rss feeds, today i checked some feeds display images but some not after update .. the feed will update automatically after 30 minutes but for some posts the image was not displaying ..

    Hi Akil,

Right now I’m getting an error when trying to check the feed. Have you removed GN Publisher, or changed/edited anything just before the error started happening?

Right now it’s working. Images are included.

Yesterday the images weren’t included, this morning there was a 404 template error, right now it’s working fine. Honestly, I don’t understand what would be causing things to keep changing like that, though if you were trying different plugins and there were a conflict, perhaps that caused an issue.

I wouldn’t use two different feeds for the same category in the Publisher Center… like you wouldn’t want to set up two ‘space’ sections with one being /feed/ and the other using /feed/gn/ If for some reason you wanted to use /feed/ for ‘space’, and /feed/gn for the ‘physics’ section, that’s ok. It might be easier to just decide on one or the other though. The positives being that the /gn/ feed will use the larger images (Google asks that they be at least 800px on the shortest side) and it pings Google when there are updates (still though, it can take some time before Google updates the Publisher Center), and is designed to take care of some other technical details,

I also notice your site is responding a lot faster at the moment. Yesterday and earlier today when I checked it was loading very slowly. I don’t know if that’s related to any changes you have made,

Submitted one category feed in pub center but Still no luck ?? images are not showing and also now it was not refreshing automatically until i click referesh manually ..

Akil, I just made a small change in the plugin code, I didn’t release a whole new version with a number version number of the plugin though. So to get the change, just delete the current version of GN Publisher that you have and then reinstall it fresh from WordPress. I hope this helps with fetching the images, if you don’t mind trying it. Thanks for your patience and persistence ??

the issue only happening to me ?

    Regards,

You are the only one I am aware of with this specific issue – the images are in the feed, they are of an appropriate size, on your verified domain, but still not appearing… what is an example of an article where the image isn’t working, I’ll take a look at that specific one,
