  • Now that Twitter has turned off v1.0 of its API: https://dev.twitter.com/blog/api-v1-is-retired Twitter RSS feeds are pretty much toast as best I can tell. From: https://dev.twitter.com/docs/faq#17750

JSON is API v1.1’s only output format. XML, RSS, and ATOM response formats will be retired along with API v1.

Will this widget be updated to accommodate the new API changes?

Would be nice to get an update on the future of this widget from the dev to let us know if we need to find an alternative solution.

You could replace your FB RSS link with a link generated by: https://www.twitter-rss.com/ It seems to work. The people behind it are in Poland and that is all we know. They may be good people but without a face theres no telling if they may start pushing their own content onto your site using this.

I would love to see an alternative from a known source.

Thanks @shackep for refering to twitter-rss.com as alternative.

Please do not rely your service on this site, as future of it is at this moment unknown. We are currently discussing the changes with Twitter, that needs to be taken to stay compliant with their terms.

The RSS feed for this twitter account is not loadable for the moment. – any fixes yet ? New version of the plugin ?

Sorry for the late response but the plugin has been updated to work with the new Twitter Protocols. Try downloading a fresh copy and installing. You have total control over the background, size, icons and all other elements. Twitter requires you to setup an API application and is not longer allowing users to pull their tweets authorized. Let me know what you think of the plugin if you download it and use it. We think you will be impressed with it.
