Feed is not showing number of “Likes”

    Thank you for creating such a wonderful way of bringing Facebook feeds into a WordPress site.

    On the home page of my site, I have included a Facebook feed to show recent posts. Everything is working well, except that I don’t see the number of “Likes” associated with each post. The icons and number of “Shares” and “Comments” are located at the bottom of each post, but there are no “Likes.” I have enabled “Show likes:” in the options menu. Is there something else that needs to be done to show the number of “Likes”?

    Hi,

    Please excuse my tardy reply.

    Please be informed that the Likes are displayed in the Lightbox only. Please, enable it from Facebook Feed > Settings.

    Thank you for your response. Just curious… why is there an option to “Show likes” in the Main tab’s “View settings” if likes are only shown in the Lightbox? Is this a feature that will be implemented in the future?

    I would definitely recommend adding this as a number below the main posts on the feed. Showing users the number of likes on each post is a core feature for Facebook feeds.

    We are using version 1.1.7, which looks to be the most recent one.

    I realize that this is likely an old screenshot from the plugin, but as I was doing some searching, it appears that the plugin used to show the number of likes below a post… in addition to the number of shares and comments. This would be a great feature to add back!

    Hi @jbuch209,

    Yes previously we had this option, but we have removed it because there was such a limitation coming from Facebook. Even if we’ll bring back that option it just can’t work.

    Yes, I this is a crucial feature.
    How come Facebook is limiting this feature and not the Comments or Share feature?
