• Hi All,

    I am setting up a site with GoDaddy free hosting. Apart from having my WP-Admin page broken (fix), RSS doesn’t work. I know why I just don’t know how to correct it. The problem is that GoDaddy displays banner ads in an iFrame. When the XML for the feed is generated, GoDaddy adds the following at the end even though it’s XML and not HTML:

    </iframe></noscript></object></layer></span></div></table></body></html><!-- adsok -->
    <script language='javascript' src='https://a12.alphagodaddy.com/hosting_ads/gd01.js'></script>

    It also has something to do with MIME type being set to html not XML if I understood correctly from the research I did. I found possible solutions for this including using the Feed Locations plugin and setting up a Corn Job to update the XML files, however that didn’t prove to be a success either.

    I would like to ask if it would be possible to use Feed Locations plugin to change the feed address to a static URL and somehow updating the XML whilst removing the unwanted GoDaddy iFrame.

    The Corn Job seemed to make sense but it didn’t actually work… I would like to see if anyone has any other bright ideas…

    Thanks,
    Ian
