    Hey Steve,

Could you tell me what you have ‘Check for new Facebook posts every:’ set to on the Custom Facebook Feed settings page?

I’m able to view all of your posts when I check your Page ID on my own test site and so it sounds like it could be a caching issue or an issue with one of the settings.

Could you try setting the ‘Check for new Facebook posts every:’ value to be zero for me? That should turn off caching.

    Thanks!

Hi John, I set it to zero, but it hasn’t changed anything.
I did have it updating hourly.
I have changed it back to hourly. Is there anything else you wish me to try?
Also if you want to log into my admin, please let me know.
    Thanks

Sure, if you can send me your login info using the form on the support page then I’ll take a look and see what the issue is.

    Hey Geoff,

Could you send me a link to your site where you’re displaying the feed and a link to your Facebook page so that I can see what the issue might be?

    Many thanks,

    John

    Hi John,
The website is https://www.volunteervanuatu.org/home and the FB page is https://www.facebook.com/volunteervanuatu

I downloaded the latest version of your app last night and ran the “Test connection to FB API” utility and that displayed the latest post, but my web site does not.

    Thanks for your time.

    Hey Geoff,

Thanks for the links. It looks like you may have the ‘Show posts on my page by:’ setting set to ‘Only other people’. Could you double check that for me and let me know what this is set to? If you want to show posts by everyone on your page (including yourself) then it should be set to ‘Page owner + other people’.

    John

    Hey John,
    You were right, good call.

    Thanks again for your time.

    Cheers

No problem Geoff, happy to help!

    Hi,
    I have the same problem.
I have just installed the Custom Facebook Feed to my WordPress website
https://www.biggendennews.com.au and have added the shortcode to a text widget in the sidebar section.
I have the settings set to show posts from the page owner and others.
It is also set to search for new updates every minute until I get it sorted out.
I posted a comment to the Facebook page (biggendennews), but it is not showing up on the website.
Can you please help me smashballoon?

    Hey Biedomedia,

Your Facebook Page ID isn’t working in our demo which tells me that one of the two following things is likely the cause:

    1) You have any restrictions on your page. You can check and remove any restrictions by going to ‘Edit Page’ > ‘Edit Settings’ (see screenshot). You can then remove any ‘Country Restrictions’ and ‘Age restrictions’ (see screenshot).

    2) Your Facebook page isn’t actually published. When logged into Facebook it should say at the top of your page whether it’s published or not. If it’s not then could you publish it?

Let me know if either of the above work.

    John

    Hey djpete,

It looks like you’re using a different Facebook plugin on your website. Do you still need support for the Custom Facebook Feed plugin? If so, just let me know.

    John
