• hi! thanks for the plugin. I was good till we switched to external cron (performance case).

Now the feed file stop updating. Cron and manual triggers are useless.

in cron event log we found:

PHP Warning: simplexml_load_file(): I/O warning : failed to load external entity "/wp-content/uploads/woo-product-feed-pro/xml/wrwerwerwerwerwerwerwer_tmp.xml" in /wp-content/plugins/woo-product-feed-pro/classes/class-get-products.php on line 1343

Checked the info from your blog. All recommendations were done, but without results.

  • Hi,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us. Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with updating your feed. The error log you shared does not immediately indicate an issue with your WP-cron, it indicates the plugin is having problems opening the feed file to update it. This can be caused, for example, by permission issues or a security plugin.

Disabling the WP-cron is not something we advise as it can cause serious issues with updating your feeds. We have tried explaining in the second part of this blog post: https://adtribes.io/can-i-disable-the-wp-cron-and-run-a-server-cron-and-still-use-your-plugin/

If you like we can have a look at the plugin debug.log URL to verify if your feed indeed isn’t updating. If you would like us to do so, can you share the following with us:

    1. The product feed URL
    2. The plugin debug.log URL. This is how you can retrieve the debug.log URL: https://adtribes.io/send-your-debug-log-to-support/

Thanks for your reply. To be sure we understood each other, I don`t just disable the inner cron but switched to an external one (also using recommendations from your blog and provided link). All tasks were running, except the tasks related to your plugin. Cron or even manual updates were not working. All plugins were disabled.

    Yes, I understood ??

Still disabling the WP-cron can result in serious issues updating the feeds. Are the “woosea_*” cron events still present?

    (@zevs3000)

yes. “woosea_cron_hook” (hourly) in cron event

    Ok, so that seems fine.

We mentioned this before: “The error log you shared does not immediately indicate an issue with your WP-cron, it indicates the plugin is having problems opening the feed file to update it. This can be caused, for example, by permission issues or a security plugin.”

    1. Are you running such as plugin?
    2. Does the issue also happen when you create a new feed?

    (@zevs3000)

    double-check everything.

    1. no such plugins were installed and activated
    2. yes, no matter if there is the correct or new one feed

Can you share the content of your WooCommerce fatal error logs of the last couple of days? Perhaps it provides some more information about what is causing the issue at hand.

This is where you can find the WooCommerce fatal error logs: https://woocommerce.com/document/finding-php-error-logs/

    Hello
We only have 50-100 products with up to 3 variants of each… will your elite plugin work effectively with the cron on the server?
