    Aloha Tim!

I have found how to start the new thread! I posted all the prior replys from the old thread. Thanks so much for helping!

Aloha Podpress. I having issues as well with the url validation and read a ton of the feeds here and can’t figure it out. Here’s the feed url that podpress generated when I first activated it and went through some settings.
    https://socialstrategizer.com/feed/podcast.
After several hours of attempting, I just need some help as when submitting to itunes store the feed is invalid and that makes senses cus its a 404 error page. I tried creating a blog post and then attaching a media file using the podpress setting on the post. The url is still 404 when validating though. Another thing you may need to know is when I first installed it, I added the widget to the footer. I clicked on it and it took me to the url above and put a blank feed in my itunes. Not sure if thats the issue. I have my post and page permalinks titles set to custom %postname%. I would love some help getting this going! Thank you so much.

@adamc6: The issue with the podcast feed in your blog is very different from the one discussed in this thread. The feed is invalid / not working because it does not contain posts. In such a situation you get a 404 error too. You may look into source code too:https://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fsocialstrategizer.com%2Ffeed%2Fpodcast .?But this particular feed will be valid once you attach a media file with podPress to a post and publish the post. (This feed will contain only posts with podPress attachment by default.) If you have further questions, please open a new thread.

    Hi Adam,

thank you for opening this thread!

?But when I go to it, theres a crazy long error page with a bunch of code I don’t understand.

Please, describe where do you see this error message or copy and paste it here (if it is very long (more than 10 lines of text) then use a pastebin service and post only the link to the pastebin).

I have put the URL of your feed into the feed validator:
    https://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fsocialstrategizer.com%2Ffeed%2Fpodcast%2F
and it says that the feed is now valid and shows no error.

    Aloha Tim!

YES! It works now! Sweet! Just submitted it to itunes store as well!

Ok, so other than the top settings in podpress, (The Itunes Settings) do I need to do anything with the other settings below?

    These:

    Feed podcast
    Feed enhanced podcast
    Feed torrent
    Feed premium
    Feed social-strategizer-podcast

Anything I should be aware of in regards to my settings? Thanks so much for all your help! I’ll be blogging about your awesome plugin and give a shout out in regards to your epic support!

    Thanks!

    Hi Adam,

Ok, so other than the top settings in podpress, (The Itunes Settings) do I need to do anything with the other settings below?

The settings you probably mean with the iTunes settings are parts of the settings for the default post feed of your blog https://socialstrategizer.com/feed . (All these settings are in the section “Settings for the default Feeds”.)

The settings for the https://socialstrategizer.com/feed/podcast feed are in the section podPress Feeds. The settings of “Feed podcast” are for this feed. You can find the iTunes settings on each of the panels of the podPress Feeds.

    Thank you Tim!

I think I understand. What settings would you recommend? Just the itunes? Thank you,

    Just the itunes?

No. I would fill out or choose all settings for the feed. For instance some of the mobile device might take the small RSS image instead of the big <itunes:image>. Especially on non-Apple mobile devices are a lot of different podcatchers in use which may take the data from the non-itunes meta data elements in the feed.
