    Hey,

    Feed manager stopped working today – google merchant shows 0 products and feed manager cannot generate new file.

    Old one (which worked perfectly since yesterday) worked perfectly but shows 0 products.

    New one – impossible to create any feed. All the time it shows message: “Product feed has failed!” and after I click “view feed” it shows: “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below. and file is emtpy. ”

    Can anyone help me?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    @cometto,

    I still think this additional image is added to the Product page by a third party plugin. In order to test the setting I need to know what plugin that is so I can install it on my server and test where it stores the image link.

    Can you send me your WooCommerce System Report? You can find it on the WooCommerce Status page, then select “Get system report”. Send that report to michel (at) wpmarketingrobot.com with a reference to this topic.

    I’m unable to identify how you added the “additional image for Google merchant” tile and I need to know that in order to be able to help you. As you can see here I don’t have that tile in my products pages: https://pasteboard.co/J1V0bRp.png

    It’s also not an option in my Screen Options: https://pasteboard.co/J1V1FCH.png

    You know your shop better than I do, so please check how you added that option to your products and tell me if it’s a specific plugin, or maybe an added attribute or any other way I can reproduce.

    I found plugin which creates this option:
    plugin name:
    WOOCOMMERCE Google Merchant XML. When i deactivated this plugin additional image option disappeared

    OK, but that’s a paid plugin by WP Desk so I can’t install it without costs.

    Could you ask WP Desk under what key they store the link to that image in the database?

    OK, i will try

    Do we have any alternative way to use non-logo image in your plugin without changing main picture with logo?

    Well I’m not an expert in setting up a shop or WooCommerce. It might be possible to use an attribute for that, but I’m not sure. Attributes are supported by our plugin.

    When we know the key of the image from the WC Google Merchant XML plugin, it’s fairly simple to include the image in the feed.

    Hello @cometto

    You could use a custom post field to add an image URL to a non-logo image.
    Than you could add that image as image in the XML feed?

    @aukejomm
    hey Auke,

    could you explain how to do that?

    Hello

    There is a quite extensive post about WordPress custom fields 101 on wpbeginner.com
    But all you need to know is the “Adding Custom Fields in WordPress” section.

    After adding the field you can find the data in the source dropdown.

    You could also use the Advanced Custom Fields plugin. That will add custom fields a bit more styled.

    Is Woocommerce Google Feed Manager working properly or not?

    Hi @galbaras,

    I’m nog sure if you’re asking this to the plugin authors or to @cometto, but the WooCommerce Google Feed Manager is working properly. This topic is about using attributes from third party plugins.

    Hello @galbaras,

    The Google feed manager is working just fine.
    Did you check it out your self and encountered issues?
    If so please let me know so I can help you out set it up.
