Feed Showing HTML Elements, Any way to remove certain terms?

Hi,
We are using Google alerts as an aggregator for our RSS feeds which is working great, but unfortunately the RSS feed created by google is leaving in “<b>” and “</b>” around the search term we are using.
Is there any way of filtering out specific words/terms in the feed?
Your help would be greatly appreciated and thanks for the plugin!
