Just an addon, it is getting even weirder: when copying the source file url from the player in the code from one of the page not working, it leads to the blog page in wordpress. Might there be a conflict of the latest plugin with elementor? Unfortunately I am no expert in the field. It happens on all episodes published before that last update, for example here:
    https://dschilepodcast.cl/mint-nachwuchs-aus-chile-nach-deutschland/.
On two episodes I published the other days after the update it did not happen. Though the media urls in the source code have the exact same structure they lead to the audio files and play in the browser. For example this one: https://dschilepodcast.cl/deutsche-bildung-chile-1909/

I am not too sure if I would have to delete all my past episode posts and start all over?!?! Or is this an actual bug?

    Saludos!

    Michael

    It′s me again!

It is either my server, the plugin Castos or my theme (episody)…but the problem was being German Umlaute (?, ?.ü) written in the file names. Before the last updates they worked for months though, after that they stopped working. I renamed all the files and it works again! Sorry to having bothered you! This might become an issue for someone later though…at least German speaking podcasters…:-)!

Saludos desde Chile! And thx for the great plugin!

Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. I’ll share it with our developer and we’ll take a look.

Glad to hear that renaming the files work as a solution for you in the interim.

I’m having this issue as well. Podcast has been running fine for years now. No new episodes for over a year, and the feed has been working fine. And now all of a sudden, nothing works. The episodes are there but the mp3 file urls are all wrong, so no episode contains any audio.

Example: In the podcast episode post within WP, the URL for an episode is:
    https://togarashi.se/podcast/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/2020-09-04-The-Friday-Mix-by-Togarashi-Episode-104-–-Intermission.mp3

But the feed output has enclosure url:
    https://togarashi.se/podcast/podcast-download/287/104-intermission.mp3

No strange characters there, and it’s been working fine for a long time without any changes.

Would you define this as a bug @keleigh824 ? Anything I can do that doesn’t mean I have to rename 100+ files?

    Hi @jezperse

Our developer is still investigating the issue. Would you mind rolling back to 2.9.2 and seeing if that doesn’t help resolve the issue until a resolution can be pushed out? You can use a plugin such as WP Rollback.
