Nice plugin, especially with the ability to utilize Views easily which is excellent. But we have a case type in which this tool seems to not support, at least not without manual intervention. I am hoping someone could direct me or suggest a method to make this work.

Many times we have a need to support feeds of live elements, such as homes for sale or product sale listings, or upcoming events. So for example in the case of homes for sale, with each update there may be new homes added, existing homes sold (and thus no longer in the feed), and especially changes to titles or excerpts reflecting an updated price – or just an update to the listing in general.

So in these cases, we need the entire feed to be ‘refreshed’ with each update – so that it is completely new and accurate, with invalid items removed and existing items updated.

By default, that is not how this plugin works – although this capability does exist manually with clicking ‘delete and re-import all feeds’ – which produces the exact effect I am talking about, albeit to all feeds all at once which is obviously not desired.

So, is there any way to set an individual feed to auto update in this manner? If that option does exist I am not seeing it, please help me to utilize it. If not, it is an important if not required option for these types of feeds IMO, which in my experience are quite common and many deal with on a daily basis.

For these cases, we are currently using a different feed plugin which operates in this manner by default, always refreshing the feeds – but of course it doesn’t provide the ability to use Views, or publish to posts/etc. – so it is very limited in these regards.

Thank you for any information or thoughts regarding this.

I love this feature request, we’re always looking for new use cases to address so it’s great that you brought this up.

Please get in touch with us on [email protected] and we’ll work with you while introducing this new functionality.

I’d like to add my support for this feature request!

I’m currently using the plugin to power a job listing site and at the moment the client needs to manually delete and reimport feed items on a partner site each time a new job is published (thankfully there aren’t many just now!). This option would make it so much easier.

Martin, we this feature is in development. Please contact us on [email protected] so that we can understand your use case better and make sure our development matches what you need.

    Is this actually resolved?

Posts that have been removed at the source are still showing up where the feed shows up.

Hi, for future reference please start a new ticket so that we can work on your issue individually, but since this is in reference to the same above feature request, here’s my reply…

There was no issue to resolve here as such. This was a feature request that was taken on board and is being dealt with by our developers ?? We do not have a set date on when such a feature will be implemented, however you can keep track of new features being added in our Public Roadmap. We will be updating this accordingly.

The posts still showing up is just the way that the RSS importer currently works. It checks for new and unique feed items every time it fetches, importing them, and leaving the already imported items in place.

Also, you mentioned “posts” rather than items… If you have any questions related to any of our premium add-ons please contact us via a premium support ticket. This forum is for the free core version of WP RSS aggregator only.

    Thank you.
