    Hi

I bought the Pro-version of your plugin. I need to build a custom feed (not google or facebook) with simple and variant products. I have not set any variant as default, so when I include variants and set “Only include default product variation:” none of the variant products show up.

How do I add a variant product to the feed, without setting a default variant?
It should just take the minimum variant price for the product.

    Regards
    Jakob..

  • Hi Jakob,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.

    There are basically three options:

    1. You include only simple products;
    2. You include both simple products and all variants of a variable product;
    3. You include simple products and only the default version of a variant.

Unfortunately, there is no option in the plugin that enables you to include only one variant without having set a default variant.

You could enable the ‘include product variations’ option and chose to either filter out the other variants by creating exclude filters based on their product ID’s or enable the ‘Exclude from feeds’ option per individual product variants but both of these options could be very time-consuming when you have lots of variable products.

    Hope this helps?

    All the best,
    Eva

    Hi Eva

    Thanks for the reply.

My problem is, this would generate a url which looks like this:
    https://colorco.dk/produkt/graa-bambus-rullegardin/?attribute_stoerrelser-bxh=80+x+160+cm

Whereas I need it to be just (no attribute):
    https://colorco.dk/produkt/graa-bambus-rullegardin/

Is it possible to use regEx in the Product data manipulation?

    Regards
    Jakob..

    Hi Jakob,

    Unfortunately there is not.

What you are trying to achieve is to add just the ‘mother’ product. We have written a blog-post about why this is not possible:

    https://adtribes.io/can-i-add-mother-products-to-my-feed-and-leave-out-the-variations/

In short: the mother product is missing a lot of attributes (technically), most importantly, the price. Our plugin can therefor not retrieve information that is not there in WooCommerce.

    Best,
    Eva

    Hi Eva

    Ok – too bad.
    Will get a refund then.

I can’t see why it would not be possible though. Just have an option to add the mother product and use it with a “min variation price” which could be enabled in the Attribute settings panel.

I noticed there is already a “min variation wholesale price WCML EUR” in the attributes settings panel, which is kind of the same just using the wholesale price from the variant product.

    Oh – forgot something.

I tried another plugin “WP Product Feed Manager”, which does this just fine (using a mother product and a min variantion price)

Unfortunately it does not support WPML/different currencies as you guys.

    Jakob..

    Isn’t this an option?

You could enable the ‘include product variations’ option and chose to either filter out the other variants by creating exclude filters based on their product ID’s or enable the ‘Exclude from feeds’ option per individual product variants but both of these options could be very time-consuming when you have lots of variable products.

Let me know when you would like to have a refund.

    All the best,
    Eva

    No really.

Too much work. I’ll look for other plugins. Please let me know if you decide to implement this in the future.

Please issue a refund. Order ID #4279

Thanks for the support though ??

    Regards
    Jakob..
